I highly recommend a just released incollection edited by Philip Arestis about the New Consensus in macroeconomics. Several contributors (C. Goodhart, S. Wren-Lewis, C. Bean and W. Poole) critically discuss the evoution of the New Consensus and its implications for policy analysis.
